Wow! This amazing children’s store in Vancouver, Canada called Collage Collage made a beautiful video about all the great things they’ve been creating. “An Awesome Book” themed-workshops have apparently been on the menu. If you have a shop and are looking to carry my books I’d love to hear from you!

In case you didn’t see the Casey Affleck/Joaquin Phoenix film I’m Still Here when it was in theaters I decided to post this pretty fantastic scene for your viewing pleasure. JP + Awesome Book = totally nuts!

Just found this beautiful video recap of the Ted Leo kids ice cream party I did with the folks at FYF a little while back. So fun to be a part of making good things for kids and parents to enjoy together.  Stay tuned for bands, books, and kids fun as the summer warms up !

This is a video I posted a while back. Since then I have painted many more murals and had many more adventures, but I still think the idea behind it is important so I wanted to share it with all my new friends and followers. Thanks everyone!

HEY EVERYONE!!! I just made a brand new book! It’s called The Greatest Writer Alive. I’ve been getting a lot of requests from all of my non-kid-having readers for a book of non-kid stuff, so here it is just in time for the holidays.

Check out the video above to hear me talk about it, or order a copy for you or a friend over at Very Awesome World. As always, you can read the entire book for free online.

Thanks so much! Very excited about this one, feel free to share!

Love, Dallas

Today is the day -  HarperCollins is rereleasing An Awesome Book! What an amazing thing! I’ve been doing morning TV interviews since 4am so I’m a bit lagged but I hope you all enjoy this video, share, read the book, support your local bookstore, tell a friend, and get inspired. Thanks to everyone who has made this entire journey possible, it’s been magical and just keeps getting better!

I did a bunch of morning show interviews the other day to help promote the release of An Awesome Book! I probably did twenty interviews back to back and they all took place at around 4am. I hadn’t actually been to sleep yet and all the folks I was talking to were in other states, and they all seemed very much awake and alive. This one is good because the guy asks me what kind of music I write kids books to and I say “Slayer.” I don’t know why but this just seemed like the right answer at the time.
