I think I’m going to do an Awesome Book east coast tour next month. North Carolina to New England and back. Let me know if you have somewhere fun for me to read books to kids. The weirder, the better. The more fun, the better. I’d like to jump in a lake.
Hey everyone,
In celebration of my new deal with Harper Collins I’ll be hitting the road next month to go on tour. I’ll be visiting the east coast of the US SEPT. 10TH-18TH and I’d love to come and read to you and give away some books!
If you live on the east coast or have a friend or relative who does, please drop us a line.
As I’ve noted before: THIS ISN’T A TRADITIONAL KID’S BOOK TOUR
I want to read in as many rad places as possible:
Schools
Hospitals
Colleges
Libraries
Parks
Punk clubs
In the woods
On a boat
Fun places, with fun people who want to share in the joy of reading…
Just email us and let us know where!
Also, as an added bonus: If you, your school, or your local community gathering space has a wall in need of a mural, we will be painting murals up and down the coast.
Hope to see you soon.
Love, Dallas
Hey everyone, I’m leaving for tour in the morning and I’m so excited to travel the east coast reading to kids, painting murals, meeting people and getting into all kinds of fun adventures. As always if you live in any of the areas listed above and have any kinds of fun adventures for me and my crew to get into please drop us an email
Tour. Day 1. Stopped by a Borders in North Carolina. Apparently they aren’t doing so well… Scored a sweet sign though.
Tour Day 2 : Read to a children’s hospital this morning, then two headstart pre school classes. Finished the afternoon by reading to my old high school. If you ever want to have your mind blown , reading to your old high school is the best way ever!
So many readings today. Almost a thousand kids and two murals before 3pm. So in love with this tour!
Just finished the last leg of a two week East Coast kids book tour. Sorry I haven’t been posting as much on the road. Life has been far too rich to be bogged down by computers. Flying back to Los Angeles in an hour with many stories to tell and many pictures to share. Thanks to everyone I met this month and all the magical faces I saw. It was tremendous. More to come!
TOUR STOP: Connecticut. What a beautiful school! Tons a warm faces and bright ideas. We made paintings and told stories and they even had an extra drum kit set up. I know, I know, I write children’s books… but how could I resist?
TOUR STOP NYC . Likelihood of me ending up on the ground during a reading : 99.9%.
BOOK TOUR STOP - Pennsylvania : When was the last time you raced a bunch of kids…
BOOK TOUR STOP : NYC - Today is a great day for make believe!
