Just got a copy of the new issue of Nylon. Super sweet article! Pretty excited to be bringing kids books into all kinds of places they’ve never been before. Thanks Nylon!

Just finished the last leg of a two week East Coast kids book tour. Sorry I haven’t been posting as much on the road. Life has been far too rich to be bogged down by computers. Flying back to Los Angeles in an hour with many stories to tell and many pictures to share. Thanks to everyone I met this month and all the magical faces I saw. It was tremendous. More to come!

Tour Day 2 : Read to a children’s hospital this morning, then two headstart pre school classes. Finished the afternoon by reading to my old high school. If you ever want to have your mind blown , reading to your old high school is the best way ever!

Tour. Day 1. Stopped by a Borders in North Carolina. Apparently they aren’t doing so well… Scored a sweet sign though.

Hey everyone, I’m leaving for tour in the morning and I’m so excited to travel the east coast reading to kids, painting murals, meeting people and getting into all kinds of fun adventures. As always if you live in any of the areas listed above and have any kinds of fun adventures for me and my crew to get into please drop us an email

Hey everyone,

In celebration of my new deal with Harper Collins I’ll be hitting the road next month to go on tour. I’ll be visiting the east coast of the US SEPT. 10TH-18TH and I’d love to come and read to you and give away some books!

If you live on the east coast or have a friend or relative who does, please drop us a line.

As I’ve noted before: THIS ISN’T A TRADITIONAL KID’S BOOK TOUR

I want to read in as many rad places as possible:

Schools

Hospitals

Colleges

Libraries

Parks

Punk clubs

In the woods

On a boat

Fun places, with fun people who want to share in the joy of reading…

Just email us and let us know where!

Also, as an added bonus: If you, your school, or your local community gathering space has a wall in need of a mural, we will be painting murals up and down the coast.

Hope to see you soon.

Love, Dallas

I get asked a lot about what type of markers, pens and paints I use in my illustrations. I’ve been a big fan of Copic products for a while now and was super stoked when they asked me to do an interview for their blog. As cool as it would be for me to be telling you to go check them out because they were paying me to do so, this is not the case… I actually just think their markers are super rad. Maybe you will too!

I think I’m going to do an Awesome Book east coast tour next month. North Carolina to New England and back. Let me know if you have somewhere fun for me to read books to kids. The weirder, the better.  The more fun, the better.  I’d like to jump in a lake.

Check it out! The folks at It’s Nice That just posted a piece about some of my favorite kids books. A sweet little article from one of the best magazines on the shelves.

Hey everybody, check out this new kids art project I just launched. “One Hundred Ways to Say I Love You.”  I made 100 pieces of original artwork for kids. It’s my way of saying thanks to all the folks who have supported me over the past few years, and let everyone know I love you!

I get a lot of requests for original artwork, so if you’re one of the folks who has been emailing me and I haven’t been able to stoke you out due to busy schedules and other whatnot, now’s your chance. Please enjoy, and spread it around!

Love,

Dallas

RIF is an amazing organization, if you get a chance check them out and help support!
