I just noticed
you’ve grown.
 
Which means I’ve been growing as well.

Strange thing,
I haven’t felt either happening.

But the breadth of that sky
is hard to measure
with these fireworks so spectacular
and this still-young evening so
perfectly warm.

My name is Dallas Clayton. A few years ago I wrote a kids book for my son. That book changed my entire life. Now I spend my days writing stories, drawing pictures, having big ideas and traveling the world sharing them with people of all ages.

It was a place for poems and short ideas that weren't made specifically for little kids. In late 2011, The Greatest Writer Alive was released a limited-edition hardcover book of poetry and illustrations. It has since completely sold out. A digital version is available for free download here.
